His recent performances have only solidified his status as a pioneer, blending classic tracks with his relentless, driving beats. In the 1980s, Chicago's South Side was a cauldron of musical innovation, with house music on the rise. Among the pioneers was Isaiah Major, who would become known as DJ Rush. Towering over his peers in both stature and vision, Rush launched his career at local hotspots like The Reactor and The Powerhouse, quickly earning a reputation for his electrifying sets. Imagine the raw energy of Rush’s infamous performance at Amsterdam’s Awakenings Festival, where he donned a silver mask, its eerie glow synchronised with the pulsating lights. Now, envision all this and more, up close and personal at E1. Taking inspiration from DJ Rush himself, Portuguese artist of the highest calibre J.Fernandes joins his mentor for this scintillating showcase.
